Crown Law, based in Wellington, provides legal advice and representation services to the Crown. The Solicitor-General is the Chief Executive of the Crown Law Office and is the senior legal advisor to the government and its chief advocate in the courts.
The Public Prosecutions Unit is established to provide the Solicitor-General with greater oversight of all public prosecutions and we are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role in making a positive change within the prosecutions sector. The Business Analyst role is accountable for the provision of high quality analysis and business information to support Crown Law’s oversight of public prosecutions.
We are seeking to appoint a Wellington based Business Analyst with the ideal candidate having skills in:
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques with the ability to present data driven insights.
- Process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma/ TQM)
- Working with Microsoft tools such as SQL server, SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Using data analysis packages such as Minitab and/or Excel
The ideal candidate will be solutions orientated and have an eye for detail, along with a working knowledge of the New Zealand justice sector. While you will work primarily within the Public Prosecutions Unit, there will be opportunities to work with other teams in the office.
