Design Analyst - Information Technology
Crown Law provides legal advice and representation to the Government across a range of areas that affect all New Zealanders including matters relating to crime, tax and revenue collection, the Treaty of Waitangi, human rights, exercise of public powers and constitutional matters.
This is an outstanding opportunity to serve the Crown in a busy, high performing Government department that has recently refreshed its strategic direction and the operating model of its Information Technology function. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the way we deliver IT services to the business in the newly created Design Analyst role.
We are looking to appoint a Design Analyst, reporting to the Manager Technology Services. The Design Analyst translates business needs and problems into IT solutions including designing processes, product and user experiences.
As a specialist IT practitioner you will establish, maintain and grow customer-centred design that meets the needs and reflects the working styles of Crown Law staff. You will facilitate continuous improvement contributing to a highly effective, useable and accessible Information Technology service that is understood and trusted by the business. You will develop simple, sustainable, business-oriented solutions through technology and process expertise. You will build, maintain and evolve organisational IP that provides inherent understanding of the Crown Law legal environment, acting as a valued knowledge base for design decisions to support the Manager Technology Services and complement the IT Operating Model.
You will have a strong service and design thinking background, with a strong focus on collaboration and working in partnership with vendors and business colleagues.
This newly created position is based in Wellington.
